Save the date 26-9-25: navigating autism together

In de Brainport regio wonen mensen uit verschillende landen en culturen. Regelmatig hebben deze mensen te maken met (een kind met) autisme. Vanuit hun cultuur hebben zij een bepaalde kijk op autisme. Ook hebben zij vanuit hun land van herkomst bepaalde verwachtingen ten aanzien van onderwijs en hulpverlening. Maar hoe vinden zij de weg in het onderwijs en hulpverlening rondom autisme in onze regio? Met wie kunnen zij praten over hun ervaringen? Daarom organiseert het Samenwerkings Verband Autisme op 26 september een ochtend over autisme voor mensen met een andere culturele achtergrond. Er is ruimte voor uitwisseling, informatie en ontmoeten. De voertaal zal Engels zijn. Voorinschrijving is al mogelijk. Locatie in Eindhoven wordt later bepaald.

People from different countries and cultures live in the Brainport region. Regularly these people have to deal with (a child with) autism. From their culture, they have a certain view on autism. They also have certain expectations from their country of origin regarding education and care. But how do they find their way in the education and care of autism in our region? With whom can they talk about their experiences? This is why the Autism Collaborative Association is organizing a morning on September 26 about autism for people with a different cultural background. There will be room for exchange, information and meeting. The language of communication will be English. Pre-registration is already possible. Location in Eindhoven will be determined later.
